D-tox proudly supported Aldridge Acres, a secure dog walking field when it opened it’s gates for a charity event in September. The event proved to be a huge success, despite it being the group’s first charity venture.
Dog Fest Aldridge was created by a small group of like minded people coming together, their aim to raise funds and awareness for dog charities including the Border Collie Trust GB in Rugeley, German Short Haired Pointer Rescue UK (GSPUK) and The Liam Keeling Memorial Trust - Meningitis Now. D-tox Aldridge proudly provided event portable toilets for the day as well as moral support with dog-loving staff visiting too.
The ethos of the event promoted a holistic approach to dog mental, physical and emotional wellbeing, as well as highlighting the enjoyment and positive benefits to human health and wellbeing, adopting a rescue dog can bring. The order of the day included dog massage, heel work to music, dog photo booth, dog shows and agility courses amongst many other activities on offer, full list with links below.
Dogs and people came in their drones, with lots to see and do for those on two feet and four paws. The burning question remained, did D-tox’s loos stand up to the challenge of serving the crowd?
Stella Beards, owner of Aldridge Acres and one of the event organisers replied.
“The loos were great on the day. Laura [our Senior Hire Controller] was brilliant and so helpful. Her enthusiasm and positivity was just so fabulous. They [the toilets] were delivered when they said they’d be and picked up exactly on time., the delivery driver [Chad] was really friendly too.”
Promoting dog friendly foods, the event provided enrichment advice and even ensured a safe place for canine companions to be by making certain coffee, and other non dog friendly foods and beverages, were consumed on the car park only, leaving the Aldridge Acres field a dog friendly environment.
We hoped D-tox’s toilet’s, apart from doing their primary job of keeping bladders empty, helped to keep off the driving rain which appeared in the afternoon for the unfortunate visitors who needed a roof!
Stell added: ‘From start to finish, the whole process [with D-tox] has made them the easy choice to make for toilet hire – despite the rain!’
If you are planning an event over the next few months or even in the far future, D-tox are here to help. We can provide ‘event use only’ toilets, urinal bays, hand sanitation stations and wheelchair accessible toilets.
