A wedding can be both an exciting and stressful time. From working out the best seating plan to ensuring the flowers arrive on time, there are countless things to consider. If you are planning an outdoor wedding, it’s vital that one of the things you consider is facilities.
Now, nobody wants to necessarily think about toilets when planning a wedding, but you’ll certainly be thinking about it if you do not cater for your guest adequately on the big day. From getting the right type of portable toilet to the right number, there are a few things to consider to ensure that the toilets aren’t the talking point of your wedding for the wrong reasons.
The number of toilets you need depends on how many guests you have at your wedding. For example, if you have 50 guests, one portable toilet should suffice. The more guests, the more toilets you will require. Most weddings serve alcohol, so bear in mind that in summer, outdoor weddings can goon for longer so more alcohol is consumed, meaning more toilet breaks are needed!
You also need to consider that there are different types of portable toilet. Standard ones may suffice, but at D-tox we also offer portable toilets with hot running water which you may prefer. Furthermore, you may need to cater for any disabled guests, so ensuring you have at least one disabled portable toilet is a must. Disabled toilets are larger than regular portable toilets, with a ramp and larger doorway.
The size of your event may restrict you in terms of the number of portable toilets you can have at your wedding. You want to have a designated area for your portable toilets so they are all in one place, and aren’t taking centre stage. However, ensure that they’re not too far away, and that they are easily accessible from the party.
One thing you don’t need to worry about is the essentials. If you hire portable toilets from D-tox, you’ll receive toilet paper, hand sanitiser or basin and freshener. The little extras that make a difference on your wedding day!
Our standard portable toilets are the ones you will have seen at festivals and other large events. Depending on the type of wedding you’re having and budget these could be the perfect option for you. We also ensure all our event toilet are of the highest quality and never send out toilets that have been on hire to Construction sites.
Urinal hire is often the unsung hero of events, men love them, and so do women do as they keep the queues down for the toilets. Presumably their will be a best man and grooms, and probably some more male attendees. Therefore it’s important to take a look at the overall gender mix of the wedding, urinal hire could be a big win!
Now you may already be racking up your wedding bill so it’s understandable costs will come into this. Costs will vary depending on the type of portable toilet you hire; minimum hire periods will come in to play with what ever supplier you chose.
To get an accurate idea of how much it’s going to cost you its best to speak to a supplier, they will also be able to advise you on the best number of toilets you need to get.
We have enquiry forms on all of our product and hire pages so we can give you an up to date and accurate prices based on the dates and quantities you want or contact us to discuss your needs.
Our portable toilets are self-contained and should last for the duration of your wedding. Our team will then collect and dispose of the waste. Should you be having an extra long wedding, for example, over a few days, depending on the estimated use our team will be able to service the portable toilets halfway through the event to ensure that the portable toilets are in the best condition they can be. Your service will be included if you are hiring for a week or more, but you may wish to book extra servicing.
When planning your wedding venue, you need to take into account where your portable toilets will be located. Where they can be located can be dependant on the type of venue you have selected.
For example, to place one or a group of portable toilets, you need to ensure that the ground is firm and flat. Anything other than this, then you won’t be able to place the portable toilets.
As mentioned before, you also need to ensure that the portable toilets are accessible and not a long walk away. Otherwise, especially with alcohol involved, you could experience some unpleasant scenes of people urinating where they shouldn’t!
If you’re having an outdoor event, it is likely you’ll have outdoor catering. Try to ensure that your portable toilets aren’t right next to any food outlets, as guests won’t be too impressed at eating their grub next to a toilet!
We know there are many more glamorous things to be thinking about when planning a wedding. However, ensuring the little details are considered is a sure-fire way to have a successful wedding.
Portable toilets are an essential for any outdoor wedding, so ensure that you have the right quantity, the right types and the right placements for your toilets.
