Laura is our Senior Hire Controller on the hire team, a multi tasker who loves making connections and cultivating relationships with our customers, Laura started her journey with D-tox in 2018, a hardworking member of the team Laura is highly valued by her colleagues. In her day-to-day job, Laura looks after the toilet and tanker deliveries, which includes routing drivers to ensure time and fuel efficiency, She said:
“Sometimes weather conditions such as snow or even traffic congestion, can be testing, but I love the challenge of sorting things out for customers”.
If you’ve worked with us before the chances are you’ve spoken to Laura. She is at the centre of our Hire Team Hub. Laura additionally schedules our portable toilet and welfare servicing and event toilet hire too, she also deals with all of the daily portable toilet hire and off hire scheduling.
Our hire desk is very busy and so being able to rest and relax when not at work is a must. When asked how she manages to switch off, Laura replied:
“I love reading and I’m known as an ‘ink drinker’ by some of my colleagues! I also enjoy long walks and nurturing nature. I have lots of birds who visit my garden regularly and I love to watch them.”
Laura has a background in customer support having worked previously in banking for over 13 years. She loves talking to people and is very proud of the good working relationships she has built up with her customers over the years. With five years under her belt with D-tox and a promotion in 2022, Laura revealed:
“I love everything about my job, but my favourite part by far is dealing with customers and building up a rapport. I’ve lots of great moments working for D-tox and I’m very happy to be part of the team. I'm fortunate to enjoy my job and the people I work with so much.”
